gluten reduced beers statement

We now use Brewers’ Clarex in most of our beers; including Lager, IPA, XPA, Pale Ale, Middie Ale and Victory Draught. All of the above products with a best before date of August 2025 or later (packaged August 2024 or later) have Brewers’ Clarex added to them in the production process, so the gluten is reduced.

Please read the below statement and make the best decision for yourself.

International version:

Brewers’ Clarex® is a protease enzyme that can be used to degrade the gluten in beer products to levels below 20 ppm . In the UK, this means these beers products can be labelled as ‘gluten free’ (in the UK).

Australian version:

Australia and NZ have the strictest legislation in the world in regard to ‘gluten free’ claims, with no detectable gluten being the only acceptable result. Regulations in countries such as the USA, the UK and the EU allow products to contain up to 20ppm of gluten and still be labelled as ‘gluten free’.
